“Like many other facets of rural, regional and remote Australia the wine industry is going through tough times. Through the ARLP I have gained fresh perspective that I will be able to assist in supporting the changes we will inevitably have to make.”
Sue is the Winemaker and Director of Bellwether, a small wine brand producing high-end Coonawarra Cabernet and Tasmanian Chardonnay. Sue has worked in California, France and across Australia. Sue recently led a project for the Limestone Coast Grape and Wine Council (of which she is on the technical Committee and is the current Vice President), to establish for the first time, a document that profiles the natural history of the geology, soils, climate, viticulture and the environment of the Limestone Coast wine zone Limestone Coast Wine Industry Council.
She is passionate about long term sustainability for cool climate Australian wine through regional promotion, research, responsible environmental management and water use, and studied Agricultural Science (Oenology) at the University of Adelaide.
