ARLP Course 20 completes the impactful Kimberley experience.
The first session of the ARLP 20 commenced with good weather and 29 nervous and apprehensive participants from all parts of rural and regional Australia. They were soon busy, very busy, undertaking the numerous challenges put their way.
Many found it physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging. The benefits have been: a shift in personal awareness and confidence, a deepening awareness of Aboriginal culture and engagement with Aboriginal peoples and communities, stronger group engagement skills, and improved problem solving ability, especially in difficult circumstances. There is definitely a strong sense of shared story through the epic adventure nature of the program.
The location of this session is ideal because of its uniqueness. It provides a rare and personally challenging opportunity for participants to become aware of self and to examine their interaction with others through a range of memorable experiences.
