New Patrons to promote rural, regional and remote leadership
Mr Tim Fairfax AC, Professor Colleen Hayward AM and Mr Andrew Robb AO, have agreed to become Patrons of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation (ARLF).
ARLF Chairman, Michael Carroll, welcomed the new Patrons, who’s values and commitment to leadership in rural, regional and remote is in keeping with the Foundation’s mission.
“Tim, Colleen and Andrew join our ARLF Patron-in-Chief, Australia's Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), in representing and promoting the Foundation and its values,” said Mr Carroll.
“The Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers programs to develop leaders in rural, regional and remote Australia. Over the last 25 years, the Foundation and its generous supporters have helped over 1,000 Australians to develop their leadership capabilities and in turn, these leaders have contributed to their communities, industries and organisations.”
“With the support of the Governor-General, Tim, Colleen and Andrew as Patrons, we will continue to develop leaders across rural, regional and remote Australia and internationally.”
Mr Tim Fairfax AC is longstanding supporter of the ARLF. He has served on the Board and given generously to the Foundation. Tim, along with his wife Gina, are Honorary Fellows and have provided invaluable support to developing leaders throughout Australia.
Professor Colleen Hayward AM is a senior Noongar woman with extensive family links throughout the south-west of Western Australia. Colleen has a firm commitment to rural, regional and remote Australia and the advancement of the rights of Indigenous people, particularly in the areas of education, social welfare, law and justice and children's health.
Mr Andrew Robb AO is the former Australian Minister for Trade and Investment, and has had an extensive career in agriculture, advocacy and politics. Andrew is committed to Australia and its industries, and developing mutually beneficial relationships with the Asia-Pacific region.
