Wine Future Leaders complete third session
Hand picked and maturing to lead Australia’s wine and grape industry…
Fifteen Future Leaders of the wine and grape industry gathered from around Australia from 29 July to 1 August in the Yarra Valley for Session 3 of the Future Leaders 15 development program.
Learning leadership by doing leadership was a theme of the session which also emphasised positive advocacy and influence at system and sector level.
Contributions to the program were made by a diverse range of experienced leaders and leadership educators. Toby Ralph, ARLP Fellow Lisa Wilson, Zoe Routh and Russell Fisher joined the group for various sections of the program.
State Member of Parliament Christine Fyffe and Nuffield Scholar Andrew Clarke talked about their leadership experiences with the group at a social function.
A highlight of the session were appearances by Lawrie Sandford, Paul Evans and Andreas Clark, (CEO’s from the wine and grape industry representative organisations) who shared an insightful discussion and Q&A session with the participants.
Throughout Session Three, the Participants stepped up to lead seminars and host guest presenters to develop and practice individual and group communication skills.
The Future Leaders group are looking forward to Session Four in late September where they will further develop and practice their strengths as a leadership cohort and work on projects to contribute to a bright future of the Australian wine and grape industry.
