Fellow of ARLP Course 18, Vivien Thomson features in this ABC Rural story about rural candidates standing for all political parties. Viv is a Labor Senate candidate in New South Wales. She is pursuing a political career alongside running her family's property at Muttama.
"I had the opportunity to complete the Australian Rural Leadership program in 2013. I found myself reflecting on my life and what I had achieved and more importantly where I wanted to be after graduating. I decided that being on the outside was not achieving enough so I decided to run for the inside where polices are developed and decisions made." Viv says.
