Legume pastures provide boost

A regenerating legume pasture system is reducing costs and labour requirements in a cropping and sheep operation in Brookton.
ARLP Fellow Anna Butcher and her husband Colin are using French serradella, biserrula and Bladder clover as the answer to a free nitrogen supply that is benefiting their 1600 hectare cropping and 3400 head sheep program.
The pair has been working with the Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFWA) and Murdoch University for the past five years with a goal of reducing risk. Read the full article here or download the clipping below.
