Outstanding regional and rural leadership

Regional Australia - 2025 and Beyond

In mid-2015, the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation engaged with program graduates in describing the current issues for rural, regional and remote Australia, and to present some possible actions. This project was instigated by Cathy McGowan and Anne Dunn, who are both Fellows of the Foundation. While the Foundation holds no policy position of its own, it agreed to host this project to provide a chance for graduates to test ideas and build consensus around the major issues affecting regional Australia, with the aim of improving policy and strategy.

There are three related documents from this project available on this page:
  • A letter from ARLF Chief Executive, Matt Linnegar
  • A Call for Strategic Directions - Outcomes from Consultation with Graduate of the Australian Rural Leadership Program
  • A New Way of Doing Business - Outcomes from Consultation with Regional Policy identities and Foundation graduates
Thank you to our Fellows and LEAD Network Members for being involved with this project. This is your initiative, so as leaders, it is up to you where this leads.
